Marina de Sant'Ilario is in the province of Potenza 'Basilicata' and is situated in a small village with a bar, newsagent, supermarket and pizzeria.
This is a very peaceful area with a good agricultural economy which produces lots of fresh local specialities.
The area is famous for its sausages made with pork 'salsiccia'.
There is a stone built church in the centre of the town which honours Sant'Ilario and Virgin Maria S.
There are two fiesta days honouring the two saints one is held on the last Sunday in April and the other in August. These are very lively events where music is played in the streets and local cuisine is plentiful.
On the day of Sant'Ilario, a traditional Italian festival is held in the village square which attracts people from all over Italy.

Within the province of Potenza 'Basilicata' Marina de Santilario is a small village that belongs to Atella Town Hall.
The village centre has a bar, newsagent, supermarket and pizzeria. Fresh produce are in plentiful supply thanks to the thriving local agriculture industry - in fact the area was made famous by its traditional and quite unique pork sausages known as 'salsiccia.'
Rosarno Golf Course is also at your disposal, a 40 minute drive from Marina de Santilario.
The nearest airport is La Mezia, a 1 hour drive away.
Flight time is approximately 3 hours from the UK.
Car hire is available at the airport upon arrival.
